Boating- Boating in Periyar Lake is one of the most popular activities in Thekkady.  As the lake is situated at the center of Periyar wildlife sanctuary, Periyar Lake boating is an interesting forest safari by boat. The boat ride starts at morning 7 am that is a one and half hour cruising offering stunning views of the lake and the thick forests on the shore. It will give your kids a superb natural beauty retreat and if lucky you can spot animals coming close to shore and drinking water from the lake. This was just an amazing visual treat.
